His early Days
H. H. Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al-Nahyan, UAE President, was born in 1948 in Al-Ain Town, Eastern Region of Abu Dhabi Emirate in a firmly established & honorable home. Sheikh Khalifa is the oldest offspring of the Late Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al-Nahyan (may Allah rest his soul in peace).
Sheikh Khalifa's early days commenced in Qur'anic memorization environment. He clutched firmly to his father Sheikh Bin Sultan Al-Nahyan, from whom he acquired every honorable attribute: good manners, generosity, bravery …etc. He received his basic education in Al-Ain Town at a time no systematic schools of education existed.
The commencement of H. H. early days in Al-Ain Town, which is considered to be the second town in Abu Dhabi Emirate, embedded special importance, for Al-Ain town forms the basis for great many local tribes, where H. H. had the chance of launching direct field contacts with the people therein; thus knowing at close quarters their aspirations, hopes, dreams and wishes.
H. H. Vision
H. H. became fully aware of the real value of the human being as an integral part or factor of development. It's this vision that made man an essential and vivid tool and means in terms of UAE foundation, erection & development. H. H. concretely believes that man is the real treasure & wealth of the country; thus standing tall and high before and after oil. He also believes that the welfare of citizens is what is being targeted day and night. In addition H. H. strongly believes that building of the human being greatly differs from the building of other constructions, for man is the integral pillar of the comprehensive social and economical development issues. It is man on who lies to the forward drive of the national procession.
H. H. Achievements
Ever since the initiation & Independence of UAE in the 2nd of December 1971, Sheikh Khalifa, in addition to the posts he was holding in the local aspect (Abu Dhabi Emirate), he held the first Federal Post as he was appointed Deputy Head of the Federal Council of Ministers. It was an important post in a country in dire need of comprehensive all field construction & development; especially in the political arena, which was surrounded by divers numbers of regional challenges. In addition to economical development, where the available resource were not up to the required development, Not to mention the social development which was in drastic need of unrelenting efforts exertion, as well as human resources, which were not available at that time.
