Title:Humanity of Islam Category:General Source:Dr. Fatima al Ali,2019   Description:fraternity is to take the whole world as one family
Humanity is one of the major characteristics of Islam, which has not only established rights and obligations but also encouraged good ethics to build a society cohesive enough to yield rapport, coexistence and community cohesion among all its members.
One of the most wonderfully remarkable examples of the humanity of Islam is the principle of global fraternity, which includes all races, gender, colors, languages, and religions. The Prophet (PBUH) states, “People are all the children of Adam, and Adam was [created] from dust." (Sahih Tirmidhī, 3955).
Thus, fraternity is to take the whole world as one family abiding by law, as good individuals and citizens wherever, good to all, particularly the vulnerable, and instructive to those who do not know and contributors to all that is good. Moreover, it is solidarity among all in good and bad times. Allah's Messenger (PBUH) says, “Help your brother whether he is an oppressor or an oppressed, A man said, O Allah's Messenger (PBUH)! I will help him if he is oppressed, but if he is an oppressor, how shall I help him? The Prophet (PBUH) said, By preventing him from oppressing (others), for that is how to help him” (Sahih Bukhari, 6952).
Fraternity would be even stronger with faith, when religious and humanitarian aspects meet. God says,” The believers are but brothers so make settlement between your brothers and fear Allah that you may receive mercy” (49:10).
Therefore, the Prophet (PBUH) associates fraternity with faith, "None of you [truly] believes until he loves for his brother that which he loves for himself” (Al-Bukhari, 13).
In conclusion, being humane is not only the way to a dignified life, but also a human rapport transcendent enough to signify progress of societies.
