Moreover, honesty is a virtuous characteristic harkens back to prophets (peace be upon all of them). God says with regard to Abraham, ‘Mention in the scripture Abraham; he was a saint, a prophet’.  God also says, ‘And mention in the scripture Ismail. He was truthful when he made a promise, and he was a messenger prophet ’. Likewise, the Prophet Mohammed was known as truthful even before prophethood; to the extent that he was called the trustworthy. A hadith about his character says, ‘…you keep good relations with your kith and kin and tell the truth …’ To highlight the significance of truth, God describes Himself as saying ‘…And whose words can be truer than God’s ? Socially speaking, honesty is the cornerstone of relations and humanitarian dealings conducive to assurance, friendliness, tolerance and peace necessary for material, intellectual and religious life . With such a comprehensive understanding, universal honesty values perpetually manifest as firm principles of one global community. Notably as honesty is commended in all faiths and cultures viewing it as a vehicle towards the objective of human existence and universal roles agreed upon by humans based on exchange, coexistence, habitation and cooperation .
